Discover Summer Day Program

Discover Summer offers engaging, weeklong daytime sessions throughout the summer for youth ages 8–17 with a diagnosed disability. Our program is thoughtfully designed to provide meaningful experiences that build skills, confidence, and independence—while having a whole lot of fun.

Activities & Experiences

Participants enjoy a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including:

  • Nature exploration and time on MORA’s waterfront property
  • Pontoon rides, fishing, paddle boating, and swimming
  • Access to our recreational gym with multi-sensory and gross motor equipment
  • Computer use, games, and creative arts
  • An in-ground trampoline and accessible swings

Each activity is designed to help youth build confidence, try new things, and grow independence in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Location

Discover Summer takes place at Mount Olivet Rolling Acres (MORA) in Victoria, MN, on the scenic shores of Schutz Lake. Facilities include a gymnasium, sensory room, computer lab, in-ground trampoline, accessible swings, and a pontoon.

Staff & Support

Our staff are specially trained to adapt programming using a person-centered approach, ensuring each individual receives the support they need to succeed.

  • Small staff-to-participant ratio of 1:2
  • Individualized planning focused on skill-building, confidence, coping strategies, and problem-solving
  • On-site MORA nursing staff available to support healthcare needs
  • Ongoing supervision, support, and encouragement throughout each day

Discover the Fun!

Discover Summer is designed to create a successful, memorable camp experience for youth ages 8–17 with a diagnosed disability. Our small groups and customized schedules ensure every participant can engage, grow, and enjoy summer at their own pace.

2026 Details

Discover Summer will take place between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday of the following weeks:

  • Session 1: June 15 – June 19
  • Session 2: June 22 – June 26
  • Session 3: June 29 – July 2
  • Session 4: July 27 – July 31
  • Session 5: August 3 – August 7
  • Session 6: August 10 – August 14

The cost for each session is $1530 to cover activities, staffing, daytime transportation, and community experience costs.  Please note that Session 3 is $1224 due to a shortened week for the July 4th holiday.
