We’re excited to share an important milestone for Mount Olivet Rolling Acres (MORA). As of December 31, MORA has officially transitioned our Adult Day Services (ADS) licensure to Day Support Services (DSS).
Q: What does this licensing change mean?
A: MORA can now serve a wider age range of people and operate under a more sustainable model. The DSS license expands who we can support and strengthens the long‑term stability of our Adult Day Services program.
We’re grateful to the teams whose dedication made this transition possible and excited for the opportunities ahead as we continue to grow and serve our community.
Q: How was this done?
A: Through strong internal teamwork and close collaboration with the State. State partners provided essential guidance throughout the process, helping ensure a smooth and successful transition to our new license.
Q: Why did MORA change the licensing?
A: To serve more people and meet growing community needs. Under ADS licensure, MORA could only serve individuals 55 and older. Yet most inquiries came from adults ages 18–45. By moving to DSS, we can now support adults ages 18–101, closing a major service gap.
Day support services offer meaningful social connections, skill‑building, and community engagement—needs that continue to grow. Although many providers struggle to offer these services, MORA chose to move forward because the need was too significant to ignore. This transition showcased the strength of our staff, who worked together to adapt processes and keep the people we serve at the center of every decision.
Looking Ahead: Expanding Access and Impact
MORA has always evolved in response to the needs of the community, and this transition is another example of that commitment. As the landscape of disability services evolves, we continue to adapt, innovate, and remove barriers so more individuals can access the support they deserve. This shift to DSS reflects our ongoing commitment to listening, responding, and growing – ensuring MORA remains a trusted, forward‑thinking partner for individuals and families today and into the future.
