Job Summary: Direct Support Professional III Float works within a designated number of homes. This position would be a float staff to our Eastern Metro Homes, including-Richfield, Edina, Shorewood, Eden Prairie, Bloomington, and Minnetonka locations. The employee assists clients with all activities of daily living, personal cares, and program implementation, responsible for the daily well-being and safety of the clients he/she supports. Employee ensures adequate supervision of clients and assists with household maintenance and housekeeping.

Our Metro Crisis Coordination Program (MCCP) offers a safety net of crucial and cost-effective services for adults and children.
Pay: $16.50 per hour Flat Rate, Must work 35 hours as a Float
$1500 Retention Bonus for Full time employment paid throughout the 1st year of employment.
Essential Job Functions and Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists clients with daily cares, medical needs and supports, ADLs and mental health supports
- Accompanies clients to appointments and community activities
- Demonstrates an understanding of the person as a unique individual and how to implement programs in accordance with the Coordinated Service and Support Plan (CSSP), Coordinated Service and Support Plan Addendum (CSSP-A), and Individual Abuse Prevention plan
- Provides person-centered services demonstrated through practice, action, and language
- Works in multiple locations as scheduled by supervisor/lead and/or employee scheduler based on company’s highest priority, working a minimum of two weekends per month
- May be pulled from a scheduled shift to a different location as needed
- Has strong communication with the house Supervisor/Lead regarding work schedule and needs of the homes
- Assists with daily housekeeping and household maintenance at each location
- Ensures adequate supervision of clients, including remaining on shift until a replacement employee arrives
- Works harmoniously with and shows respect to all internal and external individuals
- Communicates effectively with others at work verbally and in writing, using the primary spoken language of clients in the home
- Administers medications following medication administration guidelines
- Completes all mandatory training either determined by MORA or 245D regulations
- Documents program data and daily log information accurately and in a timely fashion
- Reads and follows company policies and procedures
- Collaborates with the team to complete other duties as assigned or as needed
Desired Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience with clients with intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Interest and ability to maintain various areas of the home and/or client responsibilities
- Proven leadership skills
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities of varying needs
- Must have the ability to work in different group home settings and must be able to work a flexible schedule
- Must pass Department of Human Services background check and maintain qualified status
- Must not be excluded from working in government health programs by the Office of Inspector General
- Ability to use the computer and do so in alignment with client needs for healthcare and overall care
- Must be able to successfully complete company’s basic job skills assessment
- If using own vehiclefor company business, must have a current valid driver’s license amd must have insurance as required by state law
- Successful completion of Medication Administration class, regularly passes medications using correct procedure without error
