Staff Accountant

MORA is seeking a motivated, highly experienced and inspiring visionary leader to be its next Executive Director. This individual is responsible for the overall success of the organization’s mission by providing leadership and overseeing the day-to-day operations with a focus on organizational excellence. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, this individual must be passionate about a commitment to ensure the continued health, growth, and sustainability of the organization.

Job Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for completing a variety of month end close accounting tasks and reports, accounts payable accounting tasks, and revenue reconciliation accounting. This role also assists the with the annual financial audit, tax returns and several other finance and accounting tasks and reports as needed.

Salary Range: $52,500 to $62,500 per year

Essential Job Functions & Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Month end close processes, tasks and reports.
  • Contribution accounting and reports
  • Petty cash accounting
  • Accounts payable accounting and weekly check run.
  • Implement new accounts payable process.
  • Assist with budgeting and payroll processes, tasks and reports as needed.
  • Other accounting tasks and reports as assigned.
  • Works harmoniously with and shows due respect for other employees, supervisors, vendors and clients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting with relevant experience preferred
  • Strong excel skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central general ledger system a plus
  • Strong problem solving skills and numerical aptitude
  • Good team player
  • Must pass Department of Human Services background check and maintain “qualified” status
  • Must not be excluded from working in government health programs by the Office of Inspector General
  • Must be able to successfully complete company’s basic job skills assessment
  • If using own vehicle for company business, must have a current valid driver’s license and must have insurance as required by state law
